| Two other
famous sites worthy of mention are the PARC DES
EXPOSITIONS (home to the Paris Faire, the Agriculture
Show or the World Automobile Show), and the PARC
GEORGES BRASSENS, built on the former site of the
Vaugirard slaughterhouse.
It's a lively neighbourhood with the beautiful
terraces of the brasseries at the crossroads of
Vaugirard Convention, and its two tiny shaded
squares that are home to vintage merry-go-rounds,
outdoor cafés, the entrance to the Convention
metro station and the superb Gaumont Convention
Cinema. A farmers' market offers authentic products
from every region of France twice a week.
