Prepare your stay
Prepare your outing well |

Once you have recovered from the stress of the trip, and settled into your comfortable room, you’re ready to embark on an adventure into the streets of the capital! But before stepping outside, make sure you dress comfortably for the occasion.
Firstly, wear comfortable shoes. Prepare to walk for a long time, because you will be stopping very often to discover a multitude of interesting details. You know how a day of shopping can ruin your legs... Stop, start, stop again... In short, if your feet are not well shod, prepare to suffer.
To visit the Eiffel Tower, for example, involves a 30 minute wait to buy the ticket, then several more minutes of waiting for the lift, a little while standing around on the different levels of the Tower, and several more minutes for walking back down... So arm yourself with a good pair of shoes, and too bad for fashion if you have to sacrifice beauty for comfort!
Weather in Paris is often changeable: a beautiful sunny morning can quickly change to a cloudy sky accompanied by a little, nicely chilled, wind. For our Canadian friends used to Montreal weather, Paris’ weather will seem pretty mild. But for our visitors from southern France, it must be said that, outside May-September, Paris is not hot. So do not hesitate to pack a sweater and a windcheater in your bags.
And in any case, definitely do not forget your umbrella, which will sometimes be your best friend in the streets, especially if you want to take photos of the city... because rain and cameras do not get along well.
